SELECTION PROCEDURE :

The selection of the students is based on the performance in their qualifying examination and written test, which will be in General English, Aptitude, General Knowledge and Basic Mathematics.

APPLICATION FORMS AND ADMISSION: l

Application forms and information brochure can be obtained from the Principal, Mangala Institute of Management Studies, No. 6, 3rd Cross ‘D' Road, Ideal Homes Township II Phase, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore – 560 098, INDIA, by paying cash Rs. 250/- or through the post by sending a crossed A/c payee Demand Draft for Rs. 300/- favouring ‘Mangala Institute of Management Studies' drawn on any nationalised bank, payable at Bangalore.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MCA DEGREE COURSE :

The candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examinations. However in the case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category I, the aggregate percentage of marks in the qualifying examination shall not be less than 40%, Provided that for admission to MCA the candidate shall have passed Bachelor degree with not less than 50% of marks with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives at Degree Level. Provided further that in respect of candidate who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first proviso in the Pre-University Course with 50% of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. However in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Cat-I, 40% of marks in that subject shall be considered for Admission.


MBA DEGREE COURSE :

  • A graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline securing at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages from a recognized university
  • Honours degree under 10+2+4 pattern from a recognised university under UGC act having at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages
  • Candidates who have passed Bachelor / Master degree through correspondence / Open University system from any University recognised by Law are exempted from 10+2 pattern. The duration of the degree must be 3 years and 2 years respectively
  • Candidates who pass bachelor / master degree in University system in single sitting pattern are not eligible
  • In case of SC/ST/Cat 1 candidates there will be relaxation in the aggregate of marks obtained as per the Govt. norms.
  • Admission to the program will be effected through MBA PGCET or state approved admission test from time to time.
